Top styles from the screen actor
When CNN called Stanley Tucci to ask him if he’d like to travel around Italy – all expenses paid – to eat and drink the best the country has to offer, we imagine it didn’t take him long to say ‘si’.
The cool screen actor wears some outstanding clobber in Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, as he strolls around cities, vineyards and back streets hunting down local delicacies.
White chinos, a woollen scarf, white Superga sneakers, a Barbour jacket, a navy blazer, linen shirts, a woven leather belt and black Chelsea boots are some of the key pieces from Tucci’s elegant and understated look.
The star of The Devil Wears Prada, Margin Call and the Hunger Games series says his travelogue aims to “transport you through Italy’s cultural past and present through its extraordinary cuisine.”
During the six-part programme Tucci visits Tuscany, Sicily, Milan, Rome, Bologna, and Naples as well the Amalfi Coast where he tries classic dishes such as ragu alla Bolognese, pasta alla Norma, risotto, pizza, carbonara and bistecca alla Fiorentina. After eating all that, we suspect Tucci may have had to loosen his belt.
Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy premieres at 9pm ET on June 20
