The Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi has unveiled its latest luxury resort. Ithaafushi - The Private Island in Malé is the largest of its kind and spans an enormous 32,000 square metres.
As the name suggests, this beautiful island offers exceptional levels of privacy that create the illusion of being there alone. The resort is made up of two superb main villas, one huge four-bed residence and a number of other equally impressive villas that are either over the water or set within lush gardens or pristine sands. The resort also boasts two swimming pools, outdoor rain showers, a number of jacuzzis and much more.
Things are taken to a whole new level of extravagance thanks to a talented and dedicated culinary team on the The Private Island, which are on-hand to serve up in-villa dining for special occasions. If you do fancy a quick trip to the resort's other ten restaurants, you can take a boat to the main island that's close by.
As well as world class dining, The Private Island has an incredible array of wellness programmes with industry-leading practitioners jetting in to host special sessions.
Nils-Arne Schroeder, vice president, Luxury & Lifestyle, Hilton, Asia Pacific says of the project “Ithaafushi – The Private Island is the crown jewel of our luxury portfolio in Asia Pacific - limitless in the level of privacy and unrivalled hospitality guests are promised.”
He continues “Designed for the most discerning of travelers, the Ithaafushi – The Private Island is the epitome of exclusivity, perfectly placed within one of the most inspirational destinations in the world where a dedicated team anticipates every need and delivers the brand’s elegant and effortless service at every turn.”
