The Dubai Mall is now home to a new playground that stocks the hottest brands from the underground scene
If there’s one brand name guaranteed to have streetwear fans slipping on their limited edition Japanese sneakers and racing to the store, it’s Supreme. The streetwear brand with the understated red rectangular logo changed the fashion world in 1994 when James Jebbia opened the skate store on Lafayette Street, New York City.
Since then, highly-anticipated and lusted-after collaborations with luxury labels such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Comme des Garcons as well as more casual brands such as Nike, Champion and The North Face have kept Supreme at the forefront of fashion and wider culture.
Now, a new streetwear store stocking Supreme’s collectable products opens in the UAE that will stock the likes of Supreme, Champion, Stussy, Balr, The Hundreds, Huf and ASCIS Onitsuka Tiger sneakers. Having already stamped their box fresh-sneakered foot at The Galleria Mall in Abu Dhabi, Bauhaus will launch two more stores in the UAE this autumn.
September sees the achingly hip boutique open at The Dubai Mall, quickly followed by Yas Mall in October (Mall of the Emirates gets its own Bauhaus in 2020). Priding itself on stocking exclusive pieces from niche brands, Bauhaus is a multi-brand boutique that puts the wise into streetwise.
