Art exhibition coming to the capital
Security guards will be keeping an eagle eye on comic book fans as they gaze at more than 200 rare, original pages from DC’s precious archive. Beautiful and historic artwork featuring Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and The Joker by artists such as Jim Lee, Bob Kane, Neal Adams, Frank Miller and Alex Ross will be shown at an exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
Having shown in Paris and London to great success, The Art of DC – The Dawn of Super Heroes now comes to Yas Mall. As well as comic artwork, the exhibition will also showcase costumes from DC’s forays on screen such as the Superman cape worn by Christopher Reeve and the Wonder Woman costume that Lynda Carter made famous in the 1970s TV series.
Fans can also gawp at props from DC films directed by Zack Snyder, Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher including Batman’s mask and Batpod from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. The exhibition runs until February 15.
