Coming straight out of leftfield is the news that Pharrell Williams is now in the hotel business. The "Happy" singer and member of rap/rock group N.E.R.D. is set to open the doors on his first project, The Goodtime Hotel, which is based in Florida.
After a long delay due to Covid-19 restrictions, The Goodtime Hotel will finally open in April '21 with rooms starting at $260 (AED 955).
Williams likens the hotel experience to "a Wes Anderson movie", which means lots of colours in an art nouveau style, but possibly not an appearance from Bill Murray.
There's a restaurant with a swimming pool called Strawberry Moon, which serves up Mediterranean cuisine, and The Cafe for lighter bites and coffee. There's even The Library where you can relax.
