The Danish brand you need to know
It was the Marco chinos in navy that did it for me. Over the years I’d tried dozens of pairs of chinos from numerous brands without much success, but the Marco cut from Danish brand NN07 ticked all the boxes.
Slim but not so tight to be uncomfortable; stretchy thanks to the four per cent elastane but not baggy; tapered towards the bottom but not so tight that I couldn’t pull them over my ankle; a zip fly not a button fly (does anybody actually like a button fly?); lightweight and flexible, not heavy and stiff; made with soft Italian cotton that held its shape and colour after washing... The Marco is the champion of chinos.
Since then, I’ve bought more chinos in sand and burgundy as well as several pairs of the smartly-tailored, excellently durable Crown shorts from this Copenhagen brand that has been doing the simple things well since 2007 and, in the process, building up a loyal following without making too much noise.
Now, NN07 (the NN stands for No Nationality just in case you were wondering) has arrived at The EDGAR Store exclusively in the Middle East, with a highly wearable collection of t-shirts, shirts, shorts, swimwear, polos and chinos. For wardrobe staples, classic cuts, and quality materials, NN07 is the brand that should be on your radar.
