Five major brands are bringing out new and inviting men's fragrances this season. Which one is right for you?
The world is one giant mess right now, but at least we can smell nice while the fabric of society crumbles around our ears. Big name brands are aiming to liven up our bathroom cabinets with bold, new fragrances for this season.
Kicking off the new batch is Dolce & Gabbana, who have once again turned to model Mariano di Vaio to help launch the spicy eau de parfum version of its successful 2019 eau de toilette launch, K. This one has lemon, fig, vetiver and cardamom and tiptoes between a fresh summer scent and a warm, woody winter one.
Givenchy, meanwhile, has gone full autumnal log fires with the latest addition to its Gentleman range. Boisee is a warm and sensual blend of green geranium, sandalwood, black pepper and cocoa and comes in an attractive brown tinted glass bottle.
French luxury house Cartier has chosen to revive its 1992 Pasha fragrance this year. It's an exotic combination of lavender and sandalwood, packaged in a cool torpedo-shaped bottle with grooved glass and a silver domed top featuring a blue gem - a fancy flacon for a fancy fragrance.
Next on our list is Fusion by Japanese brand Issey Miyake. The most energetic of our quintet, this blue glass bottle has a faceted top that mimics volcanic rock and contains a fragrance with notes of lemon, coconut water and rosemary for those who refuse to believe summer is over.
EDGAR's pick of the new season scents, however, comes from Canadian label Dsquared2. Its youthful, confident and vigorous Green Wood fragrance is bursting with cedarwood, lemon, vetiver and bourbon pepper, anchored by a comforting musk. This heady and addictive elixir comes in a chunky green glass bottle with a cap made from ash, packaged in a green velvet box that Austin Powers might like.
