New Apple iPhone to be announced on September 10

Words by Nathan Irvine

Smarter phones?

It's seems to come around more quickly each year, but it seems the new Apple iPhone is about to break cover.

An invitation by the electronics powerhouse has been sent to the tech world for a showcase on September 10. The event that will take place at the Steve Jobs theatre in California is expected to offer the first glimpse of the new smartphone.

A new phone - or phones - will be a given, but there's sure to be a few other products that will be shown off. Like what? Well, we're glad you asked...

Apple It's the end of the line for iPhone X.

Tech this out

A new Apple Watch is expected to be at the show. How the company will build on the success of its superb smart watch is anyone's guess. However, we would love to see more customisable watch faces added to the device.

Although any sign of a new iPad usually falls in the annual October show, it might appear on September 10. Industry rumblings point to a realigning of the product announcements, so it could happen. We're looking forward to seeing if the dual-rear camera rumour is real.

There will likely be updates on Apple Arcade, Apple TV+ and iOS 13, too.

Phone it in

Speculation has been rife about what the new Apple iPhone will be like. Quad or triple rear cameras are expected to take photography and video capture to new heights.

An all-singin', all dancin' "Pro" version is being mooted alongside a standard and lite version. And, of course, the new iPhone will be Apple's fastest and most powerful yet.

All will be revealed on September 10. Over to you, Apple.
