99 problems, but buying NFTs ain't one
After flogging his share of music streaming flop, Tidal, US rapper and Mr Beyonce Knowles, Jay-Z has put his money into the NFT game. The "99 Problems" star is part of an investment group that has plunged $19m (AED 69m) into San Franciscan NFT platform, Bitski.
Bitski describes itself as the "Shopify of NFTs", which basically means it's super easy to buy, sell and own NFTs. The company has been causing quite a stir in the world of NFTs too. Bitski and sportswear giant Adidas teamed up to create a NFT collection for 2021 NFL number one draft pick, Trevor Lawrence. Proceeds from the sale will go towards helping the communities in and around the pro player's new home of Jacksonville.
With this latest cash injection from Jay-Z and co. one thing is for certain... this NFT bubble is ready to burst just yet.
