The music star threw a party in Paris to launch the timepiece
DJ Snake first got together with Hublot three and a half years ago. It was the usual kind of watch/celebrity partnership but now, the relationship has evolved to the next level with the unveiling of a timepiece named after and designed in part by the music star.
At 45mm and splashed with blue and purple, the Big Bang DJ Snake is a statement watch that fits the personality of the Frenchman who’s had two songs that have had more than a billion plays on Spotify plus hits with Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.
The cut-outs on the titanium bezel were designed by DJ Snake himself, while the sapphire dial features a map of the world in the same colours as the case that is a nod to his globe-trotting job. The partly skeletonised dial allows a glimpse of the HUB1242 UNICO movement, a flyback chronograph with a power reserve of 72 hours.
Limited to 100 pieces, the Big Bang DJ Snake comes with two interchangeable straps, one in grey, black and purple rubber and a second in black ribbed rubber – handy for when the dancefloor gets a bit sweaty. Nightclub lighting will bounce off the surface of the case to create an optical effect when the watch moves.
“To be able to wear – and also offer my fans – a watch which reflects my personality is something that has been very important to me,” said DJ Snake. “I am delighted to have been able to combine my inspiration with the expertise of the fantastic watchmakers and technicians at this Swiss brand.”
