Behind the scenes with the British movie star who's carving out a career as sharp as his cheekbones
Fronting a new men’s fragrance called Bad Boy seems entirely appropriate for someone who did such mean things to Deadpool. Actor Ed Skrein has the kind of cheekbones usually found on a male model and so had no trouble smouldering in the advertising campaign for Carolina Herrera’s latest male fragrance Bad Boy, which comes in a revolutionary midnight blue and gold bottle that looks like a lightning bolt.
After playing Daario Naharis in season three of Game of Thrones, Skrein took over from the similarly chiselled English movie star Jason Statham in The Transporter: Refueled.
Then came his villainous performance as Ajax in Deadpool, followed by a brief but highly memorable scene as a sinister New York City policeman in the multi Oscar-nominated drama If Beale Street Could Talk.
The Londoner is set for a huge 2019 with a lead role in World War II naval epic Midway with Patrick Wilson and Luke Evans, plus a part in the Angelina Jolie sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Those cheekbones are going to be busy.
