We kick off our list with a mixology venue.
Enormous light features, live music and a glam crowd make Aer in Emirates Financial Towers the new hotspot for those who like to stay up late. Elaborate mixology is practiced behind the bar, which is Dubai’s longest at more than 30 metres.
Perched on the 13th floor of the new FIVE Palm Jumeirah hotel, this marvellously modern bar has killer views of Dubai Marina and a special menu of G&Ts.
In terms of a unique concept, a bar based on the theatres of 1950s Lebanon is hard to beat. Antika bar in DIFC’s Al Fattan Currency House has themed nights of live music and dance served with modern Levantine cuisine.
November’s fresher evenings signal the start of the search for the best sundowner bar in Dubai. SoBe at W Dubai The Palm has thrown its hat into the ring with its terrace and bonkers design.
Avli by Tashas is the superb Greek restaurant from Natasha Sideris that has proven a big hit in the competitive DIFC dining scene. Attached to the restaurant is Galaxy Bar, a secret (sort 0f) speakeasy that is intimate, stylish and different to other bars in the city. Only a few seats are available each night so be your best charming self when booking a table.
